Clare Noonan
Clare Noonan was born in 1982 in Christchurch, New Zealand. Working within pictorial traditions of landscape, she maps convergences between specific historical and cultural legacies she believes continue to latently exist within contemporary imaginings of geographical site. For Clare, artist-made and collected sculptural objects, photographic images, event, and documentation become vehicles to find and create spaces to re-access, re-experience, re-stage, identify, imagine. Clare graduated in 2004 from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts, New Zealand. She is a member of the collaboration All the Cunning Stunts (AtCS, since 2010). She currently lives and works in Brussels.
